Pattaya International Bed Race 2010
On Sunday January 31 2010 at around 4.30pm traffic came to a standstill in Pattaya Second Road, Pattaya Beach Road and Pattaya Tai as 20 teams competed in this year's annual bed race.
The world's press were on hand to capture the event which was shown on BBC World News later that evening and much of the attention was focused on the Boyz Town team whose entry was inspired by the American recording artist Lady Gaga and her hit "Bad Romance".
The Boyz Town's team consisted of staff from both Copa and Boyz Boyz Boyz and they certainly turned a few heads!
Other teams included the Alcazar "Pirates of the Caribbean" (first time a galleon has been see in Second Road), two teams from the Father Ray Foundation (one of which was sponsored by a London fish and chip shop) the and Murphy's Law Team who won this year's booby prize (the Golden Pig Award.
This year's fastest team were the Mixx Disco team.
