Australian for a day in Boyz Town

Wally in a frock, spit-roasted "kangaroo", Waltzing Matilda and a boy in leopard skin . . . must be Australia Day Oscars-style!

January 26, when Australians throughout the world celebrate their National Day, saw an extremely busy Oscars in Boyz Town.

As the customers arrived they received a welcome "Cockatiel" and there was spit-roasted "kangaroo" (it looked remarkably like a pig) and salad.

The bar was filled with the sounds of fine Australian music, Rolf Harris, The Seekers and Skippy.

And then came the highlight of the evening, the show featuring "Aussie Icons" and a surprise appearance by Maisie Trollette dressed as a man!
 

Oscars waiter, Pee, entertained everyone with an Aussie-erotic dance, followed by Dame (Dolly John) Edna with bridesmaid Madge (Thais4Life Wally) Allsop. Then David (Maisie) Raven sang and joked with the audience.

The evening was held to raise money for Thais4Life, which host David explained is currently supporting the Jing Jai Orphanage here in Pattaya.

Following the lucky draw it was announce that over 22,000 baht had been raised.
