Presentation Night at Oscars:
205,000 Baht for Thais4Life and Jing Jai

Jason from Brighton, singer Jo Frances from Essex and their many friends and supporters in the UK raised £3,000 for Thais4Life to use exclusively for their ongoing work with Bang Jing Jai Orphanage here in Pattaya.

Tuesday, July 15, 2008 saw a Presentation Evening at Oscars, in Boyz Town, to officially hand over these funds to Thais4Life representatives Wally Pickering and David from Oscars.

The evening was well attended and was hosted by fund-raising veteran Mr Norman Vernon. The line-up included Pattaya's own inimitable Dolly John, singer Mark Edwards (could be Peter from Oscars twin!) and Miss Jason. Sadly Jo was unable to visit Thailand at this time.

After the show the "cheque presentation" took place for 197,100 Baht. Further donations were received from Tim of Panorama Pub and regular customer Harold bringing the total figure to a fantastic 205,000 Baht.

Jason and Jo, who were in Pattaya in March 2008, and helped to raise 15,000 baht for Jing Jai school expenses.

A big thank you to Jason and Jo and their friends and supporters who raised this magnificent sum of money.
