GayTingTong's Presentation Night at Oscars

On Thursday, March 6, 2008 representatives and members of the popular internet forum www.gaytingtong.com plus visitors and regulars to Boyz Town attended a Charity Presentation Night at Oscars in Boyz Town.

Over the last few months members of the forum have very generously donated money to be used for charity. So, consequently GayTingTong.com organised a Presentation Night at Oscars.

Three charities benefited from the presentation:

  • Thais4Life received 20,000 baht to be used specifically for the Bang Jing Jai orphanage in Pattaya. Presented by forum-member Daniel.

  • Dr. Philippe Seur of Heartt 2000 (www.heartt2000.org) also received 20,000 baht.

  • And Pattaya Gay Festival (www.pattayagayfestival.com) charities received 10,000 baht.

There was also a lucky draw and auction which raised 35,500 the proceeds of which went towards finally completing the 1.1 Million cost of the new swimming pool and facilities at The Camillion Centre Rayong which cares for children and young people living with HIV.

The evening's entertainment was hosted by Mr Norman Vernon, a passionate fundraiser for Camillian Centre, and consisted of cabaret numbers by the incomparable "Dolly John", plus a guest appearance of the other half of the Dolly Sisters, David from Oscars.

Seven of the waiters at Oscars also participated in a "Sexy Dance Competition" with Prize money of 5000 baht donated by Oogleman from Gay Ting Tong plus 4000 baht donated by Harold an Oscar's regular supporter who also donated a further 10,000 baht to Thais4Life for use at Jing Jai Orphanage. Thank you Harold.

The most popular dancer was Jooi.

It was a fantastic evening and was very well attended. In fact some editing may well be made to this report soon as this I am suffering from severe Heineken fatigue!

So a big thank you goes to all at GayTingTong.com for their kindness and generosity.
